October's Twitter Chat Report

Thank you to all of those that joined us on our very first BACCN Twitter Chat discussing the very important issue of Critical Care Competencies and training (#C3). It appears that all of us are facing the same scenario with HEE funding being cut across the board, yet needing to ensure we have adequately trained staff to manage our patients. We as Critical Care nurses need to stand together to create a stronger voice to lobby for adequate funding for essential training that is required of all of our staff for the benefit of our patients.  But we can only do so if we stand together, so join the BACCN and lets make our voices louder....!

View a "storify" version of what was discussed and see below for a word cloud depicting the most used words from our discussion.

Some interesting Twitter stat's in regards to our #C3 chat:

  • Twitter reach > 7000 people
  • Individual Tweets send: 54
  • Engagement with above Tweets (liked and or retweeted): >200 times

Let's keep the conversation going and join us for the next BACCN Twitter chat on the 1st of November when we'll be discussing "End of Life Care within ICU" yet another important and topical subject.  Keep an eye on the website for more information.

Special thanks to @credland_nicki our BACCN Secretary for hosting the first Twitter session.
