BACCN Worldwide

The profile of BACCN internationally has increased over the last 5 years. This has allowed us to develop a broad awareness of issues occurring at an international level and contribute to the global development of critical care nursing.

The British Association of Critical Care Nurses (BACCN) is one of the founding member associations of EfCCNa, and has played an instrumental role in its progress and development.

European Federation of Critical Care Nursing Associations

The European Federation of Critical Care Nursing Associations is officially established, with a working constitution and elected administrative board - the Council of the Federation meets twice annually, and is made up of one representative from each member association.

Since its inception, the motives of the Federation have been to promote equity and collaboration, which is captured in its guiding slogan: Working Together - Achieving More.

World Federation of Critical Care Nurses

BACCN has close links with the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses and played an active role in their set up.

With one of its main objectives to represent critical care nurses and critical care nursing at an International level, the Council of the WFCCN works in collaboration with BACCN on various international projects.
