Nursing in Critical Care: Expressions of interest in the post of Social Media Associate Editor

23rd Sep 2024

Nursing in Critical Care is an international peer-reviewed online only academic journal covering any aspect of critical care nursing practice, research, education or management. It is the official journal of the British Association of Critical Care Nurses (BACCN). According to the latest Clarivate Journal Citation Report, the Journal is ranked 17th out of 191 nursing journals, second out of eight critical care nursing journals and has an Impact Factor of 3.0.

The journal's editorial team intends to increase its use of social media to aid the dissemination of key findings from some of its research papers and to provide an avenue for discussion about critical care topics and events.

We are seeking a motivated individual, with at least a basic understanding of healthcare research and who is skilled in the use of social media, to take on the role of Social Media Associate Editor. The main duties include, but are not limited to establishing and/or maintaining the journal's impactful presence on a range of social media; setting up posts about issues and papers published in the journal with a focus on highlighting key findings and relevance to practice; dissemination of news and events of interest to the critical care community.

As an active member of the editorial team, the Social Media Associate Editor will also be involved in journal board meetings, strategic planning for the journal and collaboration with the journal's publisher, Wiley, and the journal's society, the BACCN.

Persons who are interested in this post should send an email Dr James Pearce (jpearce@wiley.com) with the following in attachment:

  • A motivation letter;

  • A curriculum vitae (CV) or a professional electronic portfolio.

Applications will be received until the 31st October, 2024.
