David Waters

David Waters, Associate Professor, Birmingham City University

David is currently Associate Professor and Academic Director of Overseas Campuses and Transnational Education (TNE) at Birmingham City University.  He is an experienced academic and educator, with a background in post-qualifying healthcare education.  David continues to work clinically, undertaking regular shifts within critical care.  He is undertaking a PhD exploring the impact of error events within the ICU, and has research interests aligned to patient safety and work-force well-being.  He has been on the BACCN National Board since 2009 & currently is Commercial Projects Lead. David has extensive experience of national and international conference presenting and has been a member of the BACCN conference scientific committee since 2011.
