Trish McCready

Trish has been a registered nurse since 2003 and has always worked in the Critical Care environment. She has a degree in Acute Clinical Practice from Brighton University. 

Trish currently works at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust within Critical Care as a Clinical Band 7/Team Leader/Ward Manager/Sister and is the department lead for Sustainability and the nurse lead for Difficult Airway education. 

Trish joined the BACCN National Board in September 2015. Trishs' role on the BACCN National Board is currently Finance Director. She is also our link to ESICM N&AHPs and was elected to the ESICM Nursing and Allied Health Professionals committee in 2022. 

Trish is also a registered member of UK Med and a member of the UK Emergency Medical Team and when on call she can be called to areas in the world experiencing disaster, crisis and possibly conflict.  In 2020 she deployed to Armenia for six weeks for a covid response with the UK EMT on the bequest of the World Health Organisation and in 2022 she deployed to the Ukraine for four weeks to help support the healthcare provision for areas affected to the East from the previous Russian occupation and supporting internally displaced people.
